About
Sophia is a recently graduated DI competitive player from Hollywood, Florida. As a junior, she was ranked among the top 5 in the USTA Florida league, reaching finals of Sectionals and Nationals. Sophia served as a hitting-partner for the 2012-2013 Sony Ericsson (Miami Open) training with players such as Victoria Azarenka, Bethanie Mattek-Sands, Kim Cljisters and Olivier Rochus.
During her college career, Sophia competed in the Division 1 MAAC conference, achieving a two-time player of the year award and an athlete of the year award and lead her team to 3 Conference Championships. Sophia previously taught at the Rick Macci Tennis Academy in Florida and the Ross School on Long Island. She strives to create a fun environment for all ages and levels and works on improving fundamentals, strokes and strategies.
